Nick & Lauren

It doesn't get better than a summer day in Northern Michigan. Nick and Lauren seriously scored with the perfect day.  It was just one of those days where every part of the day was the best.  There were so many inside jokes, so much laughter, dancing and karaoke, horses!, a ride on the chair lift (which honestly scared me because I had never been on one and I was 7 months pregnant but it was so beautiful), plenty of Friends references, and so so much love, which is really what we're in it for.

It was our first time at Boyne Mountain Resort, but we're crossing our fingers we'll be there again soon. It was incredible!  And really, all the different people/beautiful pieces that came together really were just perfect compliments to what was bound to be a fantastic day to begin with.  Here's some deets:

Alright, that's enough chit chat (because who isn't just scrolling to the photos, right?!). Here's what you really came for...

Mike & Liz's

Tally it up as another wedding a cried at, and while editing.  My heart was just filled with all the love their friends and family poured out during the day.  There was so much love and admiration for the two of them, both individually and as a couple, and that came along with so many sweet and intimate moments.

Their day was classic and elegant, a beautiful ceremony at The Cathedral of Saint Andrew in Grand Rapids, Mi, followed by cocktails and the perfect ballroom reception at the Amway Grand Plaza.   Everything was flawless, from Liz's gorgeous Watter's dress (of course made perfect with pockets), to the flowers and details done by Modern Day Floral.

Liz had one of the sweetest gift exchanges with her mom, a first look with her dad and grandma (I loved their families so much), they had such sweet moments as she walked down the aisle, so many incredible speeches.... I mean, probably everything on a bride's "perfect wedding moments" Pinterest board, and they were all in real life!  I get that pregnancy hormones don't help, but I was all in, and just soaking it up.  My make-up was pretty much non-existent by the end of it all.

We were just so happy to celebrate with these two, and to be part of such a great day!  If only we could do it all again!

Spenser & Westbrook

It may have taken several tries to have a day where we weren't being rained out, but I'm pretty sure this session was worth the wait.  We had the best Michigan summer night to cruise around Harsen's Island with Spenser and Westbrook.  Westbrook's family has a cottage on the island, and it's their happy place where they feel like they can relax and enjoy their time together.  And their pup, Kramer, came along so it was pretty much the perfect day.  I'm pretty sure I immediately encouraged them to start their family so I can come back and shoot with them there.  (It's cool, I know how much couples love family planning advice at their engagement sessions. Obviously, I've done this before.)
